Anne Palm has a Master’s Degree in International Politics from the University of Helsinki. She currently works as the Executive Director at the Wider Security Network WISE in Helsinki. She has worked as an Advisor to the Commissioner on Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Council of the Baltic Sea States in Denmark (1996-97), Operations Officer at the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia (2008-11) and Operations Officer at the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (2014-15).  She has edited several books on conflict prevention, peacebuilding and crisis management. She was a member of the Steering Committee of the European Peacebuilding Liaison Office (EPLO) in 2018-20. She has also been the chairperson of the Finnish Women Mediators Network in 2020-22.
