Kristiina Rintakoski works as the Director for Peace and Reconciliation at the Felm, where she has led the development of programmatic work both in human rights advocacy and peace and reconciliation and built a team of experts specialising in support to locally led peacebuilding. She also focuses on building trust and good relationships between different stakeholders to identify paths to peace. She has over 20 years of experience in policy analysis and programme planning in conflict resolution, mediation support and peacebuilding. Before joining Felm Kristiina worked at Crisis Management Initiative for 10 years, leading the development of CMI’s crisis management, conflict resolution and peacebuilding programme work. She also worked closely with EU institutions and UN agencies in issues related to peace mediation, civilian crisis management and security research. Prior to that, she worked at the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, OSCE in Bosnia and Herzegovina and at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. She has Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Tampere, Finland and in Human Rights from the University of Padova, Italy.
